Lunch for the street dwellers

The team of Golden Anchor Solid Rock Foundation does what they do well, providing food for the people in need. Sunday 05 July 2020, is a day when the street dwellers can look forward to a healthy meal. The team provided a healthy vegetable meal to the street dwellers. The people enjoyed the food and asked for more. Diane the chef of the organization said she enjoys preparing food on a Sunday to the people. Any donation is welcome. It could be your brother, sister, mom, or dad on the street.

Golden Anchor Solid Rock Foundation does what they do best in feeding men on father's day who are looking for a day job. These men are looking for a day job to support their families. Some of these people are refugees. These men came every day to a point where people come to pick up day job seekers. They enjoy the food some people asked for more. It was a pleasant experience to serve the people with a plate of food on a Sunday.

Serving the community on foot

The rain could not stop the Golden Anchor Solid Rock Foundation team of feeding their community with soup and bread. The buddies do all the feeding on their feet. They carried the buckets from point A  - B. It becomes tiring, but they do it because they love the community they serve. The response from the people was good e.g. "thank you for coming out in the cold", "thanks for thinking about us.", "I wish you luck where ever you go." There are a need for soup out there. Studying social work youth criminology. My name is Elien, I'm 23 years old. 
I am an enthusiastic and social person who loves nothing more than travel. I try to travel as much as possible. When I'm traveling I love to enter some volunteering work just to get to know the culture and the locals of that country more. I love adventure, and I'm not scared to learn new things, people, countries, cultures, ... I'm always open to new ideas, nothing is too far, too hard, too exhausting, ...
I started traveling since I was 18 and didn't stop since. 
I entered givingway because it's the perfect way of getting to know a country, the people and the culture. 
I did some volunteering work before in India and Ecuador. I loved to do this and I would love to do more.
I'm a relationship therapist and at the moment I’m studying social work youth criminology. I’m in my last year of college. During my studies, I learn how to work with people with social needs especially youth who are vulnerable because of drug addiction, mental health issues, antisocial behavior, abused people in any kind of way or just not fit in society because of any kind of reason.

Food security (or the lack of it) has a direct impact on people’s well-being and is of great concern to many disciplines. The study on which the article is based used Drèze and Sen’s ‘nutritional capability’ concept as a theoretical framework to explain the food (in)security of landfill waste pickers. A cross-sectional research approach was followed, coupled with a triangulation mixed method research design. Viewing the waste pickers against the nutritional capability framework highlighted the important role that social work should play in focusing on people’s capabilities within their particular context.
