Refugees receiving a father's day plate of food.

Golden Anchor Solid Rock Foundation does what they do best in feeding men on father's day who are looking for a day job. These men are looking for a day job to support their families. Some of these people are refugees. These men came every day to a point where people come to pick up day job seekers. They enjoy the food some people asked for more. It was a pleasant experience to serve the people with a plate of food on a Sunday.

Father's Day lunch to the street dwellers and waste pickers.

Diana George, preparing food for the street dwellers and waste pickers on father's day. She said this is a small contribution from her part. She enjoys doing this on this special day, as many of the father's ended up on the streets, not by choice, circumstances might force them to become street dwellers or even waste pickers.  Happy Father's Day to all fathers.

Serving the community on foot

The rain could not stop the Golden Anchor Solid Rock Foundation team of feeding their community with soup and bread. The buddies do all the feeding on their feet. They carried the buckets from point A  - B. It becomes tiring, but they do it because they love the community they serve. The response from the people was good e.g. "thank you for coming out in the cold", "thanks for thinking about us.", "I wish you luck where ever you go." There are a need for soup out there. The organization needs a trolley to push the soup around. Please contact: goldenanchor81@gmail.com at cell 0764317148

Your child is my child and my child is your child, feeding children.

The Golden Anchor Solid Rock Foundation extended its wings. They are reaching out to other communities. They realized that feeding problems are not worse outside the city. They identified a leader in the Klapmuts area where they distribute food to the children. The children were eager to get the food. They turned up in numbers. There is a need for children in getting food during the school holiday. The volunteers said the turnout was good. They need food. The project will continue depending on the donors. Serving food in an informal settlement

Chairperson of the Golden Anchor Solid Rock Foundation in the Woodstock area reached out to the informal settlement in the area. The focus was on the children in this informal settlement. It will serve the children with a meal and bread daily. The community of this informal settlement appointed a person from their community to assist with the project. Teamwork is excellent as the team leader in the community knows the people in the community and knows who the people are which will enjoy the project. The project aims to feed the children, strengthen the collaboration between NGO's and empowering women. In this informal settlement is a young lady called Amina that will act as a link between the NGO and the community.

Sunday night food supply

Last night, Sunday, May 31, 2020, while I was busy serving some street dwellers and waste pickers with food, I realized that my ways are not God's way. Things happen in my life for a reason. He wants me to serve the vulnerable, and to do that, I have to go through grueling tests in life. I was bitter, but I understand where I must be. The responses I received from those I gave the food was overwhelming. Some responses: "Thanks for the food, I really appreciate it.", "Come as you just said you are hungry and see God provide food for us.", "Thank you very much, please dish for my friend as he is not here but is coming back soon." Two middle-aged men ran after us and asked us to stop as they need food because they heard provide food.
